Continuing Education Financial Aid Rules and Guidelines
Please read the below very carefully. These are the main rules that will apply to your receiving CCBC Continuing Education Financial Aid. Failure to abide by these rules may result in cancellation of your award. Please remember to turn in all requested paperwork, without it you will not be eligible for these opportunities.
Students may only receive funding for one Continuing Education Workforce Development program per school year Fall 2024 through Spring 2025, with limited exceptions.
Students must be income-eligible to receive funding that is based on income level. CCBC reserves the right to adjust or cancel your grant at any time if it is determined you do not meet the qualifications.
Award recipients will receive a general notification by email when their award package information is updated. Students may register before any aid is awarded by paying tuition/fees in advance. If awarded aid, you will be reimbursed up to the amount of your award.
Award recipients should contact CCBC Continuing Education at 443-840-2222 to register for eligible non-credit classes held at any CCBC location. Awards should be used for Continuing Education classes through May 31, 2025, unless otherwise authorized. This aid cannot be used in any other award year.
Most funds can only be used to pay for tuition and fees for classes in eligible programs that you have been approved for. Some individual awards may support books and materials. You will be notified if this is the case.
Students should not expect refunds of unused aid amounts unless permissible by aid type.
Recipients are encouraged to use their entire award at one time and should plan to register for one or more eligible classes and apply all of their award funds if required. Note that courses sometimes cancel.
Applicants will be awarded as funds are available. Funds are limited, with many funds available on a first-come, first-served basis. We encourage you to apply early for the best consideration of being awarded. Applying for funding does not guarantee an award.
Students must keep the college informed of any relevant address and phone number changes that will affect our ability to contact you.
Students must register for and begin coursework within three months of application. Failure to do so may result in funding being cancelled. If you do not attend the first course in your sequence, your award may be nullified. Funding will not be provided for courses that are repeated with limited exceptions.
All funding are managed and awarded in accordance to CCBC college policy as well as the requirements of the relevant funding agency or source.
